What will we eat in 2050?

Meat substitutes are already becoming a billion-dollar industry growing exponentially. The growing stream of investments guarantees that these substitutes will taste and look meatier every year. Today, true-to-life realism is still the goal. But in the future, huge budgets and high-tech equipment will be used to create meat with a taste and texture experience that is the same as the real deal. You’re asking how? Based on cultured meat!

What is Cultured Meat?

Cultured meat is meat grown from animal stem cells that are allowed to develop in a growing body. Outside the body of the animal, in other words. This 'cell culture' takes place in vats, just like the traditional fermentation of beer and yogurt, for example.
No animal is slaughtered when creating cultured meat; it is still real meat. At a molecular level, there is no difference between cultured meat and traditional meat.
